⚠️ SAFETY FIRST: READ BEFORE STARTING
Working on electric showers is dangerous. You are dealing with a high-voltage appliance (240V) and water.
ISOLATE POWER: Always turn off the electricity at the main consumer unit (fuse box) and pull the isolation cord before removing the shower cover.
VERIFY DEAD: Use a voltage tester to ensure no power is reaching the unit.
LEGALS: In the UK, major electrical work in bathrooms is "Part P" regulated. If you are not a competent person or are unsure of these tests, stop and consult a Part P qualified electrician.
DISCLAIMER: You follow these guides at your own risk. This site and its authors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by your repairs.
These are excellent showers ill test this one to find the fault on it , see video below of me testing all electrical components of the Aspirante Electric Shower. testing thermal cuts outs the heating elements the solenoid valve and the thermal cut out on the outlet.
Below is the video of electrical testing the Triton Aspirante

Triton Aspirante Component Testing:
Heating Elements (8.5kW / 9.5kW): Individual elements should read between 11 ohms and 15 ohms. If the shower is suddenly stone cold, check these first.
Solenoid Coil: These use the standard Triton "Brown" coil. Resistance should be between 3.4 kOhms and 4 kOhms.
The "Blinking Lights" Fault: If the red and blue lights blink together, the unit has detected a safety fault.
Fix: Isolate power for 30 seconds to reset the PCB. If it persists, check the TCO for continuity (0 ohms).
Thermal Cut-Out (TCO): Unlike older models, the Aspirante often uses a dual TCO system (Main and Outlet). Both must show 0 ohms.
If your Aspirante is completely unresponsive or stuck in 'Commissioning Mode', the 10-way ribbon cable is likely loose or damp. When refitting the cover, ensure the cable is 'clicked' into the PCB socket. If the shower has been leaking internally, steam can corrode these tiny pins, causing the buttons to fail while the power light stays on.
