I have heard customers and other people i have talked to in the past suggest that finding parts for electric showers to repair them yourself is very difficult but this is not the case lot of shower companies sell the parts direct or you can buy from companies who sell for the manufacturers.
How to Choose Quality Spares
Not all spare parts are created equal. When buying on eBay or Amazon, use these 3 rules:
Check the "Seal of Quality": For TCOs and Solenoids, look for VDE or CE marks in the photos. Avoid parts with no safety markings.
Generic vs. Branded: "Generic" solenoid coils are often fine if they match the specifications, but for Heater Canisters, I always recommend sticking to original Triton or Mira branded parts to ensure the internal pressure vessel is tested.
The "Too Good to be True" Rule: If a PRD is selling for £1 including shipping, it's likely a cheap plastic mold that may not blow at the correct pressure, potentially causing your heater tank to explode.
