⚠️ SAFETY FIRST: READ BEFORE STARTING
Working on electric showers is dangerous. You are dealing with a high-voltage appliance (240V) and water.
ISOLATE POWER: Always turn off the electricity at the main consumer unit (fuse box) and pull the isolation cord before removing the shower cover.
VERIFY DEAD: Use a voltage tester to ensure no power is reaching the unit.
LEGALS: In the UK, major electrical work in bathrooms is "Part P" regulated. If you are not a competent person or are unsure of these tests, stop and consult a Part P qualified electrician.
DISCLAIMER: You follow these guides at your own risk. This site and its authors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by your repairs.
There are usually 3 or 4 screws 2 top and 2 or one at bottom of shower, make sure you mark the positions of the switches to ensure correct fitting and alignment with the switch mechanisms under the cover. Pull cover free it should come away easy, sometimes there will be an electric lead from the front on/off switch if its an electrical selector switch.
The "Golden Rule" of Refitting:
Before you put the cover back on, synchronize the dials:
On the Shower Body: Manually turn the flow and heat spindles to a specific "clock face" position (e.g., fully counter-clockwise).
On the Cover: Turn the knobs to match that exact same position.
The "Dry Fit": Gently place the cover. It should sit flush without any pressure. If you have to push hard, the spindles are misaligned. Stop and re-align.
Check for "Hidden" Connections:
The Start/Stop Button: On modern Tritons and Miras, there is often a ribbon cable or two wires connecting the front button to the PCB. Do not yank the cover off or you will tear the connector off the board.

Q: Why won't my shower cover go back on?
A: Most likely, the "D-shaped" spindle on the stabilizer valve is not aligned with the slot in the front cover knob. Set both to the 'Cold' or 'Off' position before attempting to seat the cover. Never force the screws to pull the cover shut.
